Dragino LoRa / LoRaWAN Glass Fiber Outdoor Antenna (915 MHz) Legality

Hi All,

I’m looking to use the Dragino LoRa / LoRaWAN Glass Fiber Outdoor Antenna (915 MHz) for the Dragino LoraWAN LPS-8 Gateway.

I see in one of Anreas Spiess videos that “N-type” outdoor antenna’s are powerful and require a radio license to use. Can anyone confirm if thats the case in the states?

Has anyone used this outdoor antenna for their LPS-8 Gateway?

Thanks,
William

Hello @whickey15,

Thank you for your patience.

We have received a reply.

"The antenna should be completely legal, any antenna should be, it is the output the customer has to verify and make sure he’s within the legal limits.
An antenna is nothing without the signal.

The customer can check more on the FCC website, for the 900 MHz frequency.
He can also read on this:
