I had posted earlier today in the electronics category. I meant to do it here. Basically, I’m wondering whether a car door lock actuator can start in the extended position, be energized (through a timer) to pull, then be extended again by hand. Then I want it to start over again. Can this be done or would I need to count on a relay to put it back into the extended position?

Hi Michael,
You will have to look at your particular actuator to answer this question.
Most actuators of this kind are spring loaded magnetic coils.
