I’m trying to figure out if my alignment is a little off, or if this is just normal. The tracks are a lot quieter when the robot is on the ground. When the tracks are not contacting the ground around mid RPM I get some pretty good vibrations.
Is this typical? I haven’t found many videos to compare anything to. Thanks.
The motors are making by far the most noise, which is normal. The other sounds you hear are coming from the tracks bouncing a little and contacting the rollers and likely the corners of the metal. To avoid (some) of the vibration, try to tension the tracks, though the way the sprockets and tracks are designed, there will always be a little “up and down” motion.
