Is there any documentation or schematic for RB-dfr-71, DFRobot I/O expansion board. there are no links from the website where it is pictured.
thanks very much

Thanks very much as always. If I want to use this shield to drive some servos on the Rover (controlled through the Xbee), it looks like I could attach the xbee directly to this shield (instead of using the Xbee shield) and I would connect/power the servos directly to/from the digital pins on this shield, and attach some power to the servo power inputs (instead of powering everything from the 3.5 V battery).
The main question: If I do the above, Can I ignore the Rs485 and analog inputs and the other power input on this shield, as I will be controlling the Rover using the serial monitor on the computer attached to the other Xbee?
We don’t see any reason why it would not be compatible. Note however that the ROMEO has a few pins dedicated for motor control.
Yup - you can certainly just use the digital pins to connect to the servos using the servo library and the XBee slot for wireless communication (Xbee, Bluetooth Bee, WiFi Bee etc.). Note that you should not subject the servos to too much load because it sounds like the microcontroller’s pins will be powering them. Otherwise, use the screw terminals and power them separately.
Do you know if this shield is compatible with Version 1 of the RoMeo controller? Looking at DFRobots website they say to use the RoMeo as a Arduino Duemilanove w/ATMega328 when programming it and I do know that the sheild itself says its compatible with Duemilanove.
Thanks

thanks. I will power servos by attaching some batteries to the servo power input- the blue boxes.
