Document camera lift

I’d like some advice on the simplest and most reliable way to lift a document camera out of a drawer so the user doesn’t have to hunch over to use it. The document camera is 15" x 15" and needs to be lifted 10" high on a stable platform.

Maybe a motor driven scissor lift? Or hydraulic arm? The lift has to be very stable to prevent any shaking.

The smallest commercial lift I have found is for motorcycles, this camera weights 8lbs.

any ideas on where to start?

Thanks!

Scissor lift sounds like a good idea. Can you take a photo of the drawer and the document camera? How heavy is the camera?
