Do you guys think a garage is to hot?

I am thinking about tring robotics out. I was thinking about making a workshop in my garage. I live in arizona and there are times that it gets in the 100s here. So I was wondering if I make a workshop in my garage and leave my robots in there is this going to effect them? Thanks for any advice.

If you use polymorph, it

If you use polymorph, it could, most components can handle 125Cº e presume the 100, you mean are farenheit…

can’t you clean up a small shelf in your room/living room?

My garage

Yes I meant farenheit.

I got a two year old and it needs to be somewhere out of reach of his greedy paws. LOL the only other option is putting a really small table in my master bedroom (it is a walkin) closet but my wife is not really happy with that idea and neither am I because i wouldnt be able to work on my toys after she went to bed. Or atleast it wouldn’t be fun because she would just be complining the whole time about how loud I am etc. etc.

:S

Suppose you could work on them in the garage, and bring them inside the house in a box when it’s hot, it gets really hot around here too, i haven’t had any problems yet…

I’m in FL and haven’t had

I’m in FL and haven’t had any issues. Of course it’s been relatively cold lately and I just moved it all to the garage a few weeks ago - so only time will tell.

But the way I see it, I solder to my electronics, so I don’t imagine a constant 90 degrees F could hurt it.

Too Hot

I’m also in Arizona, (Casa Grande), and my shop is in the garage. I insulated the garage and put in a small wall-mounted swamp cooler, (about $100.00), and it’s quite comfortable to work out there. Even without the cooler running it’s below 100 degrees and I’ve had no problems with storing literally tons of electronics out there.

Basic electronics

Electronic parts can handle heat when turned off or just compoments. It when you power them up heat is an issue. We use to use a hair dryer to speed up the process when testing curcuit boards to find weak components.
