DIY large servo

Hi, I’m glad I found this site!! Love all the info. I am building a large scale wheeled robot/truck to drop in old mine shafts. I am wanting to build a couple steering servos using auto wiper motors. I need an h-bridge that will allow Rc control.
My question is dowant anyone have any info on doing this? I know I will need a small servo with the motor removed for a reference for the return to zero mark.
Thank you so much for any help!!

Hi Totegote,

One of the easiest way to build a custom RC servo is to use the JrK board.
This controller is essentially a Motor Controller with various inputs like Potentiometer (analog) to get position feedback.

It combine those and make a RC servo out of the combination…!

Two versions are available to suit your current needs:
Pololu Jrk 3A 8-28V USB Motor Controller with Feedback (with headers)
Pololu Jrk 12A 6-16V USB Motor Controller with Feedback
