good day,I have replaced a 2x25 sabertooth motor controller by a 2x32 which i got from you this am.
I control the motors using serial port S1. I used to send a value of 64 to 128 for motor1 and 129 to 255 for motor2.
dip switch were set as follows : 1 on, 2 off, 3 on, 4 off, 5 on, 6 on. Could i still use only S1 to control both motors? How sould i set the dip switches?
Also, with the 2x32 were two resistors, what should i do with them?

Take a look at this document starting at the section “Battery” and then the different modes under “Analog Mode DIP Switch Settings”.
The resistors are explained within the guide as well.
good day,
Before asking for help, I had read most of the manual, and set the dip switch and wiring according to picture on page 22 of the sabertooth 2x32 manual. But motors do not move and red and green lights are blinking. I am sending 64 to 128 for motor1 and 128 to 255 for motor2 on S1. S1 is connected to tx (digital1). This was working with 2x25 (different dip switch setting). I have not seen on the manual any indication about the signal that should be sent, only that the 2x32 controller is compatible with code written for 2x25 controller.
is it possible that this controller is defective?
Claude Dubois
Every so often a controller is defective, but it’s important to review the code you are using to send the commands, as well as the electrical connections. Can you provide a photo or two showing the electrical connections, the DIP switch configuration as well as the code you are using? The more information you provide, the better we can help.
I have sent photos to Brahim Daouas. The code was working fine with a sabertooth 2x25.
The code i use is from Henderson State University Team Segbot
