Digilent is proud to announce that the 7th Digilent Design Contest Finals will be held on September 14th to 15th 2011 in conjunction with FPGA World Conference in Munich Germany. 16 teams with 30 contestants from Switzerland, Romania, US, Mexico, India and China will compete in the contest. They are select winners from regional Digilent Design Contests in Europe, China, US, and India.

Some top past projects include Blue Rover, a remotely operated rover with applications in rescue and reconnaissance missions and Fractal Music Composer, a drum kit simulator using accelerometers attached to the user’s hands and feet which are connected wirelessly. The Design Contest is a venue for young people to develop their professional skills.
