Did I order the right motor controller?

I’m pretty sure I ordered the right one, but just wanted to make sure. I ordered this 2X10. For now I plan to control my bot using a PS2 Controller (I have Mini ABB and SSC32), but in the future I would like to make the bot autonomous. Thanks.

Looks fine to me. Just to make sure, You did get the ABB and the Basic Atom/BA Pro right?

Do you plan to use a gear head motor? The 2x10 motor controllers are used for DC motors and not servo motors.

yeah but the motor controllers take servo signals for inputs. this should be fine.

Oh ok, I thought he was going to use it as a servo controller or something.

Aren’t there two different types of the 2X10 motor controller: one that uses servo signals for control (2x10 R/C) and one that uses serial data control (2x10)?

Depending on how we wanted to control the motors, it would make a difference as to which one he needed.

The 2x10 will do R/C inputs as well as full analog (PWM) input as well as serial.

The 2x10 R/C will only do R/C inputs, which is probably why it is somewhat less expensive.

Thanks! I’m glad I went with the more expensive with the heatsink. Time to build!
