Diaphragm pumps for continuous use

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some advise on a pump I am using in my Arduino project. I was using a normal peristaltic pump that ran 24/7 and after approx. 2.5 days, the tubing inside the pump broke from overuse. Now I’d like to exchange this pump for a different one and I came across diaphragm pumps… I came across this one: DC Diaphragm Pumps for Arduino Automatic Smart Plant Watering Kit - RobotShop and was wondering if anyone here has some experience with it. There is obviously no tubing inside the pump but I want to make sure that this one is able to run 24/7 (for weeks) as I need it for my project.

I am not sure if 5$ worth pump can work 24/7 for weeks :slight_smile:

I mean, you can try, it will not cost you much, but my assumption it would fail after some time. It is probably good for some experiments but not constantly working.

I think you would need something more professional but also more expensive :slight_smile:
