DiaLFonZo HEXapod Mini - Idea

The tibia is about 10cm in total lenght
I don’t think it will flex with 1.5mm CF

Lol. You love CF, don’t blame me.
Looking great Eric.

Playing with making a canopy…
Without hole it will be expensive… so i will cut holes in it.
It is made to bolt to the top plate, may do something for the battery or just dedicate the battery to the robot.

Playing with cutout in the canopy…

Playing with another idea… but i like the round shape better.
Will do new cutout in it

Looking awesome! I prefer the dome shape too, this one doesn’t really fit in with the design (well, that’s what I think anyway).

I like Canopy Side Test1. Canopy Open is also nice.

Maybe make them in RED or BLACK? CF??

Alan KM6VV

Can’t “Print” carbon fiber material…
I could ask innerbreed if he want to try molding in CF… lol

Can be printed White-Black-Red… etc

Here is what i came with…
Round one but with different hole pattern

You should engrave your robot’s name/logo onto the blank patch at the top of the dome - it’ll make it look cool.

Here is a picture of all the “Printed” part needed
DiaLFonZo - Mini Hexapod - Printed Parts.png

They look nice and complicated!

Not that complicated… :stuck_out_tongue:

Did some change according to servo horn sizing…
Will have to change some dimensions on the printed parts but no time this morning

I like the open look of the femurs. The clear dome is great too!

Alan KM6VV

yes its looking great Eric,

Alan: i believe that Eric has just turned on transparency for the dome for the purpose of viewing inside. its not actually clear.

Yeah, but it looks good clear!

Alan KM6VV

Yes it was just to show the inside.
But yes a clear lightly bark dyed could be nice.
I don’t know how i could achieve that…

EasyFlo clear casting resin. Got 3kg of it in stock.
For a bubble free cast it would require a pressure pot. I don’t have one… :frowning:

LOL…!
Will order 3D print first…
Red - Black - white ??

RED.
With red and black cf legs.

Yes… would have been cool…
Unfortunatly i think i will go for White all around since i would like to integrate some lightning and the White material conduct light.

Here is a “Almost final” drawing… (you know…)

I will cut a set of sample parts in black G10 material today to see.
