DialFonZo will be back in the office tomorrow and provide additional details.
The kits we plan to provide will be in two main categories:
Plug and play entry level
Plug and play professional
The plug and play line will use quality, reliable products, but they will be more cost effective (for example $25 range for motor, $25 range for ESC, plastic propellers) , while the professional series will use some of the best parts available on the market.
The Hunter VTail 400 will work well with any motor that runs 8" props.
So a motor that is less than 30mm in outside diameter (to fit the 30mm opening in the top arm plate) and that runs about 1100kv on a 3s LiPo setup.
As for a flight controller, both the MultiWii or KK2 will work.
My preferred choice is the MultiWii but really it’s a matter of taste more than anything else.
I have tested a slightly modified MultiWii version to change motor mixing and it’s really good, I will post about it soon.
We are getting motors and ESCs with custom connections already made to provide a solder-less experience and we will be listing them soon…
Feel free to ask any questions here… we are here to help and questions you have might help others too…!
I have all kinds of parts around and have ordered some, so I will be doing a bunch of trial and error, so I will share some of my results
For the camera I have one of these aerialtechnology.com/shop/cc … mera-ntsc/
and 600 mW 5.8 GHz transmitter from Fatshark paired with the Dominator google with build in 5.8 receiver. Highly recommend anyone doing FPV at least get rid of the standard antenna that come with it for at least clover leaf - check out www.readymaderc.com - iBcrazy is like the guy for FPV antennas
Yes i do…
You have to take a Transmitter that can handle around 120% of End Point (basically can extend over 100% the channels outputs).
Unfortunately this leave the low cost transmitter in the back.
That is a MultiWii requirement…
So anything that can do 5ch and have End Point adjustment.
