Dfrobot solar power manager limits

Does anyone know the actual limits of the dfrobot 5V solar power manager, SKU DFR0559?

In particular, the limits on the solar panel Voc. The spec sheet says 6.5 VDC.

My solar panel is 6V, 2W, but I measure the Voc at over 7V, like 7.3VDC.

I’d just as soon not kill the controller, but I’m not sure whether this is a true risk or not.

Anybody have any specific knowledge?

Hi @co_dave and welcome to our forum!

According to DFR0559 it should withstand 6VDC.

Maybe you can put a resistor there to lower the voltage?
