DFRobot Shop Rover Serial Connection Problem

Hello im new to robotics and i’ve had problems with serial connections involving DFRobotShop Rover.
I know that this rover consists of Arduino Uno and that I have to manually install the driver. The problem is that my computer doesn’t
attempt to install the driver and in the device manager it doesn’t have under com port. When I try to upload I set my board as Arduino Uno
and it still doesn’t upload.

The usb is connected properly, but it says that there is no board connected. If you need a little more info. with my project notify me. Here.

Please help with my issue it will be much appreciated.

Your computer will not install the driver and as you indicated, it needs to be done entirely manually following the procedure here:
arduino.cc/en/Guide/Windows#toc4
Note that once the drivers have been successfully installed, you need to open the software and select not only the right board type but also the right COM port.
If this doesn’t work, tell us which step in the guide above doesn’t work and what happens instead.

Thanks for your reply and the link Mr. Benson, but the manual says that I will have to go to Device Manager and then Com. Then, under Com there should be Arduino UNO (COMxx) but there is nothing romotely like that. The guide also states that if there is no com go to uknown devices or other devices but there is no tab like that. I’ve made sure that the usb is connected too. Please respond and maybe give me a technical support phone number.

Did you already download and unzip the Arduino software? If not, you will not have the drivers.
arduino.cc/en/Main/Software
You need to have the board connected to your computer during the process.
Unfortunately we do not offer telephone support.
If this does not work, can you please provide a clear photo of your setup to see if we can spot anything out of the ordinary?

Thank you for responding Mr.Carson
I already have the software installed, but I tried installing it again with the board in but still nothing.
The photos are posted at the top, so please look at them to try and identify the problem please.
Also if you would like to see a photo of everything under the robot/rover just tell me. Thank you for your time.

You cannot upload the code if the Bluetooth module is in place.
You will need to remove the Bluetooth module, go through the procedure of installing the drivers etc.
The Bluetooth module takes up the serial communication lines, so you cannot have both the USB connected and the Bluetooth module connected at the same time.

Mr. Benson thank you for the advice, but my board still won’t connect. I took off the Bluetooth module, but the computer still didn’t say there was anything connected. Please respond to this reply. Thank you for the help so far, but i’m still having problems.

If you would like to email me do it at [email protected].

-Thank you and please respond.

Please respond soon Mr.Benson to my recent reply.^

Once you have removed the BT module and reconnected the USB plug, you need to then go through the procedure outlined on the Arduino site:
arduino.cc/en/Guide/Windows
Please use a different USB port on your computer.
If this does not work, please indicate where your setup differs from what is shown on the Arduino site.

Dear Mr.Benson I tried your advice, but it still will not work. It works with all my other arduino boards such as my Arduino Uno and my Arduino Nano. I also tried using all the different USB ports. The arduino serial connection guide states that a driver installation should start and fail, but my computer doesn’t start a driver installation. It also states that I will have to go to device manager and go to COM & LPT or unknown devices but there is nothing like that in device manager when I plug in the USB. Also it might be important to note that i’m using a Windows 10 computer.

-Thank you for your help please respond.
