can DFRobot A9G GSM/GPRS+GPS Module be connected to raspberry pi. and will it also support 4g sims
Hello @Augusthy ,
Welcome to RobotShop community.
Yes, you can connect it to Raspberry Pi or Arduino since the module uses AT firmware.
Connect the module to USB-TTL via 4 wires and debug it on a computer:
The module itself doesn’t support 4G but the 4G SIM is compatible with 2G which includes the GSM services.
Let us know if you have further questions.
Sincerely,
By this time you’ve already got your answers. If you’re planning to integrate 4G service to your raspberry pi, you can choose from A7600E LTE Cat-1 HAT for Raspberry Pi. Depending on which region you live in, you have to choose the right version.

In the above diagram, it shows connections from Rx and Tx. To which GPIO is it connected to in raspberry pi
Hello @Augusthy,
Thank you for your reply.
It should be connected to the serial communication pins as shown below:
Sincerely,
Do you have any sample python programs to work with raspberry pi?
You can find some sample codes on this page:
