DFRobot 4WD Platform - Motor Controller

Will the motor controller Product Code : RB-Pol-189 work with DFRobot 4WD Arduino Mobile Platform? If not what controller (reversible of course) would be appropriate?

Motors operate at 3-6V, and consume 0.47mA at stall (6V).

Therefore that motor controller would be appropriate.

Thanks, I couldn’t find the specs on the motor, specifically stall speed.

Just to be sure, since I’m kinda new to motor controllers, this controller is reversible, right? So to make a 'bot that will go forward and backward with 4WD, I’ll need two of these devices.

Stall = stopped (i.e. 0rpm) and maximum current.

It’s certainly reversible; you control both speed and direction.
You’d hook up both motors on the left to one channel on the controller, and both motors on the right to the other channel.
Therefore when you send a signal, the motors on each side will react the same (i.e. tank steering)
As such, you only need one dual motor controller, not two.

Yes, you are right. I’m involved in another robotics project using mecanum wheels and just didn’t think it through.
