DFRobot 40A Bidirectional Brushed ESC

I would like to know if DFRobot 40A Bidirectional Brushed ESC has a linear voltage curve? The description says Voltage range: 7V-24V (lithium battery 2S) . I would like use 4S.

Welcome to RobotShop community.

The Lithium 2S battery is just an example of what batteries would work with the controller so you can use any battery as long as it’s below the 24v voltage.

Question. Is the voltage with this controller linear from 0 to max? I would like a smooth transition. I have tried other controllers ( for rc cars) and they like jump off of zero.
