Hi everybody,
I am new to the forum, and I am french, so I am sorry for my english.
I try to achieve a system to control a wheelchair with a computer.
I need to control two motors CC 24V 15,5A but I have to control the intensity.
I just want to be sure that with an analogic input, I can control the intensity of the output with the Devantech 24V 20A…
If I put 15,5A the speed is maximum, and it will be dangerous for the person on the wheelchair.
Thank in advance for yours tips…
If it works I will buy it…
Hi Cbenson,
I will not use a microcontroller or potentiometer, I will use a CompactRIO to generate the analog input (+10V/-10V) in the Devantech.
I just want to control the ouput current with the voltage of the compactRIO, is it possible ?
Thank again,
Sincerely,
Physinain
P.S : For images, I need to work, but when it will be finish, no problem !
Thanks for yours answers.
I will buy it.
If I finish my project, I will send you somes pictures.
Hi physinain,
Welcome to the RobotShop forum. We allow questions and answers in both French and English, though English may be understood by a wider audience. Your English is fine. The Devantech MD03 24V 20A H-Bridge DC Motor Driver can certainly accept analog input (from a potentiometer or microcontroller) for variable control. We hope you will post some images of your project!
Sincerely,
The CompactRIO is a microcontroller module, so the output should be between 0 to 5V, which will work.
Sincerely,
