Design of a UGV for rough terrain

I am an absolute beginner in building bots.

I want to build this vehicle( electric one) for irregular terrain.

size is 2m length 1m height and 1m width.

should be able to climb ditches .5m in height(vertical)

and also carry some weight(200kg load)

I am through with the design selection part.

The tracked wheel design is the best suited. Also, it is triangular in shape...Inclines forward..as it has to climb the ditches...All i wanted to know was how to design the chassis....i.e. to test it's ruggedness in ANSYS before it is built...Also it has possibly 6 wheels and has bogie type design(no spring damper arrangement used)

HELP PLEASE....

Tracks versus 6-wheel design

I’d say check out some of OddBot’s designs.

“Mighty1” https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/5324
( or “Monster 6-wheel Drive” https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/11835)

The Mighty1/Monster6WD has a neat suspension system and a low center of balance – both of which are desirable if you want to climb uneven inclines. You can probably design the microcontroller and motor drivers to use an Adafruit Motor Shield or anything. Only thing is it isn’t a bogie design

Update: If you want to buy and dissect one, so that you can make a bigger 200kg capable version, DAGU sells it: https://www.robotshop.com/letsmakerobots/node/14156
