Data for a Special Stepper Motor

Hi

I have bought an stepper motor but I can not find the datasheet for it. The Codes on it are:

Sankyo

MSCJ048N01

5406

I could not find the datasheet. How can I find it? I googled it but no benefit.

How can I find:

1- which wire is related to which step? Which wire is the Vss?

2- how much voltage does it need as a supply?

Thank u!

Perfect!

I actually tried that wire! and also your test method says that wire is common.

But the resistance between the vommon wire and the others is just 7 Ohms. Do you recommend to test higher voltages?

And about the sequences! I have found a sequence but during the rotation, the steps do not have equal angular travelled distances. What does it mean? Does it mean the sequences are wrong? Or is this beacuse of low quality of Stepper motor?

Your help is highly aprreciated!

I know this is old, but…

I know this is an old post, but I have the same motor and have the solution for those that may not. I think this motor came out of an old printer and there is never any good data on printer parts…

I am running the motor on 5-6V(4 AAA).

The wiring is

1 Orange

2 Blue

3 White

4 Red

The Brown wire feeds the voltage. If you use a ULN2003 to drive the motor, The brown wire would be 5V + because the ULN2003 feeds the step wires from Ground.

The motor is 50 steps per revolution.

Hope this helps someone…
