Darwin mini

i don’t know how to write programs but I really would like to purchase the Darwin mini robot. Do you have an assortment of programs already written that can be downloaded and fed into Darwin? Also how do you allow for the head servo to work if you use one instead of the dummy servo.

There is sample code available for the Darwin Mini, as well as a very nice user interface.

You can see a bit more information about those here:

The neck servo can be activated and used via the software.

Is there a particular place to download the sample code from and also how would you activate the neck servo via the software?

The software is included with the product, but can also be downloaded here:

We do not have the software installed here, so we have contacted the manufacturer to provide further details.
We will get back to you here as soon as we receive a reply.

The manufacturer replied:

  1. The motion editing software is in English. The image used is just in Korean.
  2. If a real servo is added, you will be able to use it with the software.
Although they do not outline a procedure within the software for #2, we encourage you to read through the documentation as it should be fairly easy to do so.

How do I put the neck servo into the Darwin Mini configure it’s ID and make it functional.

It is important to thoroughly read the software guide. If you still do not find the information you need, and have also checked the Robotis forum, they invite you to submit a new topic:

They normally reply within a few days.
