Daisy Chaining Different Voltage Dynamixel Motors Together

Hello,

I am currently building a robot arm using 7x XL330-M288-T and 1x XL330-M077 servo but am having some torque issues with some of the XL330-M288-T. These motors I believe are running at 5V and 1.8A.
My build consists of the 8 servos daisy chained to a U2D2, connected to a U2D2 power hub board.
I was considering swapping one out with more powerful motor, but the majority of the Dynamixel servos use a higher voltage than the ones I’m currently using.
I am uncertain whether using different specification motors, such as 11.1V at 1.3A, will have any adverse effects on the system let along function without issue.

Thanks!

Hello @olic and welcome to our forum.

It seems that our community members don’t have much experience with this topic, since no one replied.

Maybe you can try posting on Robotis forum, since they are manufacturer of these motors?
