Dagu Wild Thumper 6wd Project

Hello everybody,

I’m the new member in this forum. I join here to look for a help in my project. My professor gave me a project that using flysky transmitter to control Dagu Wild Thumper 6WD (specific detail here www.pololu.com/product/1560). Honestly, I have no experience in this field and do not know what I have to do. I already have a flysky transmitter, a Dagu wild thumper 6WD, a arduino uno, a raspberry Pi. I would be glad if you can mentor me step by step in this project. If you don’t have much time, please at least give me a list what I have to do and what addition devices I have to have?

I’m just a newbie here. Therefore, If my post has any mistake, please let me know.

A good starting point might be to read a bit about robots, their components and how to choose and integrate them. We recommend that you check out the “how to make a robot” blog series, available here. It covers the basics of pretty much everything and should help you learn what you don’t know you don’t know about so that you can ask more specific questions about your project.

Unfortunately, learning a new field requires a lot of hard work, time and effort, especially one as complex as robotics, which is multidisciplinary (mechanical, computer, electrical, software). We can offer advice about specific product selection/compatibility and point in a general direction to resources, but mentoring step by step would not be possible.

If you prefer having a mentor, we recommend that you check online for a “makerspace” type of organization in your area. They most likely have knowledgeable people there that can offer help.
