Hi,
I'm having problems with this controller.
The problem:
As soon as the Dagu Spider board is connected to the usb the L1 - D13 led is constantly blinking. The board is being found by the computers and a port assigned. When Arduino IDE says Uploading, the LED goes out then after a short time starts blinking again and I get the error "avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0xff". Therefore but I cannot upload any sketches and the ones I have tried have all been the Arduino examples. So nothing fancy or large.
Also I already have a couple of other Arduino boards, A UNO and an ATMega 2560, both of these are able to communicate and i'm able to upload sketches with no problems.
This is actually the second spider controller, the first I had last week had exactly the same problem, but additionally the soldering on the first board was extremely poor.
What I've tried so far:
- I've tried various OS, windows XP, windows 7 on 2 laptops and 2 PC's.
- I've tried various versions of Arduino IDE - 1.0.3, 1.0.4, 0023 and 0022
- The very first thing I do is check the settings in IDE to ensure the correct board is selected ( ATmega 1280) with the assigned port.
- I've going through the COM ports and trying all of them up to 15.
- I've tried different board rates from 9600 up.
- I've tried uninstalling the com port and reinstalling.
- I've tried turning off antivirus, windows defender and firewalls.
- I've tried holding down the reset button and resleaing it at varying times as some forums have suggested.
- I've been all trhough the Arduino troubleshooting guide, this forum and other forums.
Anyone else got any ideas before I throw it out the window?
Thanks
Darren
