What type of connectors do I need to match the ones that output to the motors on RB-Dag-55? It looks similar to the 2 pin JST types sold here, but much larger. The pin spacing is about 8mm (or perhaps 5/8"). I could not find any information about this for either the motor controller or the rover for which it was originally designed.
A visit to jst.com was rather confusing.
I’d like a firm connection at those points.
So, does anybody know what manner of beast I need?
Thank you. I’ll give those a try.
For the record:
The connectors listed above fit the pins, but don’t latch on. Actually, they have to be filed down to even plug in.
Checking out similar products, I found a better choice to be Digikey part A30502-ND (I used A30499-ND as the matching contact). I’ve obtained these and hooked them up; they fit very nicely and securely.
These are made by TE Connectivity. Manufacturer’s part numbers 1-1123722-3 and 1318912-1 respectively.
The connectors are meant to match the motors connectors on the Rover 5 which are similar to WM2101-ND (Digikey) which has a mating 3-pin 0.156 spacing male header for PCB mounting WM4652-ND
Thanks for the information, we will suggest these connectors in the future.
