D.A.I.R. - Dual Arm Industrial Robot you Print your own kit

The D.A.I.R. is a home hobby kit designed around hobby servo motors …

I control mine with the SSC-32 and FlowBotics software … the kit is designed so that anybody can learn and play with an industrial type robot … maybe even create an animatronic.

13 servo motors with a few servo extension cables … starting with 6-servo motors in each arm … the Left & Right Tool, then the Left & Right Wrist, then the Left & Right Elbow, the the Left & Right Arm Shoulder, then the Left & Right Body Shoulder … and of course a waist servo too.

All the cabling runs up through the insides of the bones up to the top of the main shoulder part so that a controller and battery can be mounted inside, or as I do, I route them all through optional neck into a BallBot1 or FloppyBot head.

Finally, I fill the lower and upper base parts with heavy stones as ballast and even had to screw the base down to manage whatever the D.A.I.R. might lift up … initial trials the D.A.I.R. was too strong for it’s balance;

Yes, I am open to designing modifications and already have a few to improve the design …
