Cytron Smart Drive Duo 60 Ardunio reset problem

Hello,

I am using a Cytron Smart Drive Duo 60 to control a motor on a lift. I have connected it all up and using PWM for control from an Arduino, one pin for speed and another for direction. It all works as planned.

However, if the Ardunio is reset (button or uploading new code or ever opening the serial monitor) with the Cytron board powered up, the Cytron will drive the motor in one direction (MRB and MLB leds light) until the Ardunio has fully started.

is this normal or a problem with the board?

I have used other Cytron boards (MDD10) and this is not a problem

Hello @Rollmop and welcome to the RobotShop forum,

Which Arduino do you have and what pins are you using to control speed and direction?

Could you share the code you are using?

Sounds more like it is a problem with the Arduino and not the motor driver.
