Cytron MDD20A Err1 light

Just received my Cytron MDD20A controller and connected to a 12v PS. Besides power I am seeing red ERR1 light. Also when pressing buttons on the controller M2A and M2B the LEDs light up but M1A or M1B do not light any lights. As of now, unfortunately, I cant test this with any actual motors onhand.

their PDF says “Turn on during undervoltage shutdown or hardware fault.” but nothing else.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello @SailCS33,

According to the manual:

The motor driver output will be shut down when the power input voltage drops below the lower limit. This is to make sure the MOSFETs have sufficient voltage to fully turn on and do not overheat. ERR LED will turn on during undervoltage shutdown.

Another reason for the error LED to light up could be a hardware fault, so if your power supply is working properly and supplying 12V there might be an issue with the controller, if that’s the case please contact [email protected] for more information.

Thanks for that. Does it have any replacement period or warranty?

If you want I can transfer this message to the RMA team.
