Cytron 13A, 5-25V Single DC Motor Controller

I am using Cytron motor controller to drive a 24V motor. But it doesn’t give any output. As in the picture the PWM signal is not going through but both A and B LEDs light up. I don’t know how to fix this. The voltage to motor is 0V and the + - voltage to the driver is 24.3V from a battery. It also makes a continues beeping noise.
Please provide any advice to fix this issue

It is a lead acid rechargeable 24 V battery. (It might be a little overcharged, the 24.3V is the reading on the DMM when connected across the terminals on the motor controller). There is a continuous sound (not necessarily a beep but like one), I was not sure if it was from the controller or if the motor was making that noise. But when I read the voltage across the motor terminals on the controller it is 0V, both when the PWM signal is 0 and max. (255, since used with arduino).
I tried pressing the A or B button on separate ‘power on’ instances but the motor controller continues to light up both A and B LEDs and there is the persistent squeaky sound.
I checked all connections and they seem to be working. I run the motor directly at 24V and it seems to be working ok too. So I can’t determine what is going wrong. (The controller is new)

The manufacturer has determined that the part is probably defective. Please submit a ticket to our Exchanges department through our Support Center (robotshop.helpserve.com/) and we can replace your motor controller under warranty. Thanks.

We have contacted the manufacturer to ask them for their help with this issue.

While we wait for their answer, can you give us more information (part number, datasheet) about the motor you are using? Can you also measure the quantity of current consumed from the battery when the motor controller is powered up? And can you try powering the motor controller by itself, without the motor connected?

What is the type/size of your 24.3V battery? Can you press the A button to test if the motor and controller work? I don’t think this board has any speakers on it: are you sure it is making a beeping sound?

I checked the motor again (just powered it with a battery without the controller) and it works fine. It makes a noise when connected to the controller terminals and both LED’s light up.
