I am having an issue with my litter robot that cannot be solved by looking online or in your troubleshooting guides. Suddenly today my litter robot will begin a cycle like normal and then the yellow light starts to flash rapidly and it cycles too far and gets stuck. I have to manually reset the globe- it does this constantly so I’m having to leave my litter robot unplugged for my cat to use it and this is very difficult to do as I am pregnant. Any ideas for a fix?
Hello @dmagee ,
Welcome to RobotShop community.
We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.
Please provide us with your order number or a copy of the invoice.
The issue could be coming from 3 parts:
1- Anti-Pinch pins.
We need to check and clean the pins with WD-40 and sandpaper:
2- Magnets inside the globe.
Please test the magnets by putting any metallic object on these two areas circled in red and check if the magnets would attract the object or not:
3- Misplaced or defective hall-effect sensor:
If the magnets are okay then the issue is coming from the hall-effect sensor and it needs to be replaced.
We have attached a guide to show you how to replace this sensor, please check it and let us know if you can replace it at home or if you prefer to send us the robot for repair:

Awaiting your reply.
Sincerely,
My husband will be home tomorrow afternoon and we will give it a shot with repairs mentioned above, thank you!

Magnets were good and the anti-pinch pins were the issue! It cycled normally. Thank you and we will let you know if it happens again
Hello @dmagee ,

That’s great, glad we could help.
Feel free to contact us again if you notice any further issues.

Unfortunately it is now having the same error again.
Please see above
Hello @dmagee ,
Please provide us with a picture of the Anti-Pinch pins to check their condition.
We will also need a video of the robot trying to cycle until it gets stuck so we can confirm which part(s) need to be replaced.
Awaiting your reply.
Sincerely,
Not a problem, as soon as my husband is back again tomorrow night I’ll have him open it back up for the picture.
Unfortunately I cannot upload the video even though I’ve got it down to 20 seconds. I emailed the video to support ([email protected]) Tuesday. Is there any way you can access it that way? Or another email I can send it to?
Thank you!
Sorry, somehow I can never tag you in my replies
