Hi. I am trying to design a track system that is substantially beefier than the Lynxmotion system. The 3-inch tracks, which look like they are conveyor belts, are probably good enough for my design, but I want to use motors in the 250-watt or more range, and drive sprockets with 3/4 inch or more bores and diameters of 4 or 5 inches. I believe the conveyor chains/belts are called “mat type”. I would actually prefer a different type called “table top” or “flat top” (I think). Rexnord and Dyna-veyor are two makers of the flat type chain conveyor parts. Dyna-veyor makes all plastic flat top conveyor chain, which is nice because of the low weight. They do not respond to requests for a distributor contact. Does anyone have experience with these manufacturers? Or any other experience/advice with these conveyor parts makers would be appreciated.

Have you considered one of these tracked dumpers one sees at construction sites?
The smallest one I have seen ist the Alibaba GPG65500A
I have seen them with different (or none) payload, and with white tracks (I guess for indoor use, to avoid streaks on the floor?).
Thanks, that is an interesting machine. The track system is the perfect size for what I want, but overall it looks expensive. I will check it out further.
You might look for a snow blower with tracks. Not sure if they are still made, but have seen used ones for sale. Check ebay, google, craig’s list and such.
The tack system shown in one of the reply is looking good and beneficial but I think it would be not more costlier. This Alibaba GPG65500A is a good dumper track system. It can be started either by manual or electrical. Its fuel type is Gas and it can lift up to 500 kg weight.
