Hello everyone,
I have started building a custom biped; it is currently a work in progress but thought I would start posting it up on here. This biped will be using a Bot Board II and SSC-32 with a PS2 remote controller. Servos will be T-Pro MG996r… I know these servos have mixed reviews but it will work until I can replace them. Im on a budget.

Here is the basic concept design I made using Google Sketchup. I changed the design a bit when I realized I forgot the batteries.

I just started painting the brackets using Dupli-color metal cast Red. It looks like anodized red.

those brackets certainly look nice. follow Alan’s question on this.
your design reminds me of one i did many years ago.

Not sure how scratch resistant the paint is but time will tell.

Painted the arms with the Matalcast base coat. They looked so much like aluminum I think I may keep them silver.

So I had this monster walking fairly decent but broke a servo and a bracket doing push ups! I think the weight, size and torque were too much! I’ll post some more pictures and videos soon!

The red and black colour combination is AWESOME! You should make it into a samurai robot!

This project got a little frustrating! Getting this massive Biped to walk is a huge challenge so I took it apart to make some repairs and rebuilt it as a quadruped. I got to say it’s much more fun programing and using the quad! I will get some pics up in a few…
