Important Note:

The VEXRed NiCd batteries (9.6V and 7.2V) need to be placed properly inside the cradle when charging. There is a sensor at the base of the charger that changes the charging voltage depending on the size of the battery pack. The charger is meant to ONLY charge VEX NiCd batteries and NOT NiMH, LiPo, Lead Acid or others.

At the very top of the charger, there are two “pointy” switches - one for either charging slot and on either side of each battery (difficult to see in images). These move downward to change the voltage when you place the larger battery in the charger and are spring loaded. Charging is automatic.

I appreciate the need to properly seat the batteries and be sensitive to the voltage levels. Are there any buttons or selector switches that I need to set, or is the charging automatic from there?
