CP2102 USB interface

This is a somewhat odd request. I was doing a search for help on a CP2102 interface I have and came across this web site.

I have a sensor that uses a CP2102 USB interface. I ended up dropping my laptop and crushing the USB plug where the CP2102 is located. I took it apart but one of the solder leads is pulled right off of the circuit board so I am unable to reconnect the lead.

The company I purchases the sensor from wants $75 for a new cable. Since this is a personal project, I would prefer a cheaper solution. I happened to see the CP2102 breakout boards on this site and was wondering if it would be possible to use these to communicate with the sensor I have.

Thanks.

It is quite possible that it might work but it will require some hacking. It is hard to tell for sure since you did not provide any details on the sensor.
