I’m trying to figure out a way to mount GHM-04 motors to a pair of Mattracks, and I was wondering if the HUB-02 or HUB-04 hubs would do the trick. Could someone please give me the outside diameter of the mounting surface on each of these? The Mattrack sprocket has a mounting surface that I can use which is about 21mm in diameter.
O.D. of HUB-02: 0.866" (22.0 mm)
O.D. of HUB-04: 0.875" (22.2 mm) at the mounting flange for the wheel, and 0.50" (12.70 mm) at the neck
O.D. of HUB-05: 0.875" (22.2mm)
I found these hex hubs and adapters while I was searching through the Tower Hobbies products. Maybe they could be useful to you. I have an extra pair of MatTracks also, am interested in whatever progress you make.
Thanks for the info! These should do the trick with minimal changes to the sprockets.

According to the digital calipers:
O.D. of HUB-02: 0.866" (22.0 mm)
O.D. of HUB-04: 0.875" (22.2 mm) at the mounting flange for the wheel, and 0.50" (12.70 mm) at the neck
O.D. of HUB-05: 0.875" (22.2mm)

I went and talked with an RC shop about these, but they are much too large to fit the hex shaft in the Mattracks sprocket. One of the guys in the Parallax forum offered up his approach that he used on his Boe-bot, which seems to work well. If you take the sprocket out of the track chassis, you’ll notice that it’s actually two pieces held together with three screws. You need to drill the screw holes straight through the chassis, and use long bots that go through the entire length of the sprocket and into the aluminum hub.
I’ve ordered hubs and motors from Robotshop.ca, so I’ll let you know how it goes once I get a chance to try them out.
