"could not find processor"

I have a problem with my computer(Dell Inspiron 545S PC on window 7) recognizing the BAP on my phoenix. I went into tools/preferences/find processor and it keeps on saying “Could not find processor”. I am currently using the FTDI USB-Serival Adapter and the lastest Micro Studio. The light on the BAP and the SSC-32 are green with the PS2 receiver red led light blinking. I tried adjusting the Reset Hold Time, but it doesn’t seem to work. I am new to robotic so any help would be appreciated.

edit: I am stuck at step 16 of build 159.

I browse through the forum looking for help and this is what I have tried so far. I disconnect everything on the bot board except the 9v batter to VL and the FTDI USB-Serial adapater. The pwr light on the bot board is green wit beeping sound every sec and 3 other lights are on.

Another good place to look for information would be here. The thread focuses on the SSC-32, but the information can be applied to programming the BBII as well.

I finally found the problem(I just want to slap myself in the face). I installed the chip incorrectly. I did not look at the yellow cap for reference(schematic 14-3 of build 159) but instead the BasicMicro Logo and the word at the bottom. So when the chip is install correctly the word BasicMicro is upside comparing to the BBII.

That’s why one of the first things we usually ask for are images…
