Converting the old AL5D to the new AL5D design

With Hitec discontinuing the HS-5745 servo we were left without the key components for this arm. They offered to continue to make them for us, but in reality they could not fulfill their own promises. After a very long drawn out ordeal it became painfully obvious that we needed to give up on them and do a redesign. The result is the new AL5D arm. It uses an HS-805 in the shoulder, and an HS-755 in the elbow. Because the elbow servo brackets didn’t change you just install the 755 servo in the existing brackets. Because the 805 servo is larger we had to make new brackets for them. These parts are the ASB-204 and ASB-205 brackets. You will need one of each to upgrade one arm. Use this tutorial for the build.

Thanks for sharing.

Is there a CAD model available for the new AL5D assembly?

Thanks!

Unfortunately not for the complete AL5D, though most of the parts can be downloaded separately:
