Controlling wheelchair motors with dx6i?

Hello,

I doing a class project which is building a wireless controlled tank …
well, i’m using the following components:
2 jazzy Gt “wheelchair” motors
sabertooth 2×12 and Dx6i controller

so far, I did all the wiring but couldn’t figure out how to control it … basically nothing worked using the controller after the connection.
If you guys please help me to get it work, i’ll be thankful.

I am using A DX9 for mine, I used a Orange 6 channel receiver $8.00, and you have 4 extra channels for rotation, elevation, firing nerf cannon!! put laser sites and fpv camera ,tons of fun

Are you use that a Sabertooth 2x12 is enough for those motors? What are their specs? Check the relay - it may have blown already. You don’t always need the bind plug in place if it’s already paired.

If this is the case, then the Sabertooth 2x12A will certainly not be sufficient.
A Sabertooth 2x25A might be better, but without knowing exact specs, we cannot say for certain that it would work.
You could always try something overkill like a 2x60A in attempt to be absolutely safe.
You need to read through the Sabertooth manual carefully and set the DIP switches accordingly.
