Controlling vfd with arduino through RS232/ RS485

Hi Guys, I want to control a VFD with arduino through RS232 or RS485 anyone has done that?
I want to know what parts I need to buy? I know I cant send directly from arduino to RS232/RS485 port

Hi @ET20 and welcome to our forum!

I haven’t done controlling variable-frequency drives from Arduino (only did this from PLCs) but it should be possible.
