Got some questions about using trnasistor and resistor with lots of LED all together. I am not good in electronic planning but only drawing sketch out as image below.
Try to using as less resistor as possible so I only plan to use one and I know Arduino couldn't handle that many LEDs so transistor will be used as I know. However, I am not sure how to connect these points as identify in image below from A~G. Can anyone help me or sugeestion how this should be connected and what type of transistors, resistor should be used?
Also, I can use only on 3.7V battery so "step up" to 5V will be used in between battery and Arduino. Is that ok?
But it's better to connect the Emmiter to ground. This way the voltage difference between ground and base pin (the voltage needed to fully open the transistor) is lower.
I end up using “2n6039” and I think it works fine now. It’s a little bit dimmer than connect directly to battery with resistor only. Not sure what may cause that issue but doesn’t bother much.
Now, I wondering. May I use only one transistor or I should use 2 more transistors to control other 2 led strings? (Yes, it's RGB led)
Sorry for off-topic, but I Sorry for off-topic, but I since I’ve seen your “gorien” robot, I can’t get it out of my head. The idea is so great. Did you make any further progress with it?
This suprised me someone still remember that one. Actually, no. Had been lazy these couple years. Very slow progress in everything. Like this lightsaber project, LED strings had been lying there cover with dust for over years and weeks ago I thought I might have to those “half way” projects. Perhaps someday I will back to Golien and finish it.
