My students were working on our Robonova and the clip (small black box) that you plug the serial cable into came off. Inside there is a simple assembly for your serial cable to go into the Robonova. Ours is now torn (I can’t tell as I never saw in there before this) and when placed back together the Nova doesn’t upload. My question is, does anyone have any idea on how to fix this? I thought about soldering things back together but 1) they’re very small parts and 2) I’m not sure how it went together in the first place.
Does anyone have experience with that item and this problem? Again, where the serial cable plugs into the 3024 controller, the box came apart (very small plastic box) and now it won’t upload.
Best thing to do is to send it in to the Hitec Service Dept… The solder lands are extremely fine and unless you have the right type of desoldering tool, can be damaged. Turn around is only a day or so in house at the moment.
