Controling usb stepper controller from long diatance's

I need to control a usb stepper controler( thinking of Phidgets 1063) from say 25’ to 120’. was thinking of using a usb to cat5 converter but not sure if it would work. Phidgets does not recomend it in there manual. Any suggestions advice would be great.It needs to be very stable & reliable if possible

In order to extend a USB cable beyond its recommended length, you will need an “active USB extension”. Unfortunately, we do not carry any at RobotShop at the moment.
