Control panel not responsive

Hi!

I require your help regarding a problem I’m encountering.

I purchased a Litter Robot 3 with 18 month extended warranty. Purchase date: April 5, 2020. Order number: 968902.
I have a solid yellow light on my litter robot. I am using the original adapter. The control panel is not hot. No matter what button I press or hold down, its non-responsive. Hard reset did not work. I even made sure the pinch sensor was clean. I took the base apart and blew out all the little granules and it made no difference. After reading posts about others with the same issue, I require a new base.

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hello @Kits,

Welcome to RobotShop community.

We are sorry to hear that you are having trouble with your Litter-Robot.

This issue could be coming from a few locations.

First, you need to decide if you prefer troubleshooting then sending you replacement parts to replace them at home, or if you prefer to send us the robot for inspection and repair under the warranty?

Exchanging the base is only valid during the first 90days of the purchase so now we can only offer the 2 options mentioned above.

Awaiting your reply.

Sincerely,

Hi Ebram,

Thanks a lot for your prompt response.

We can try troubleshooting first. If it doesn’t work then I send you the robot for repair.

How to do troubleshooting?

Thanks a lot

Very well, we need to check if the issue is coming from the motor wires, could be damaged or disconnected.

This video will help you locate the motor and its wires:

If the motor wires are fine and connected properly, try to unplug the DFI sensor from the control board.

If the yellow light disappeared and the blue light started to blink slowly, we would need to replace the DFI sensor.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Ebram,

The motor wires are find. I unplugged the first wire ( please confirm this is the right one / DFI), and the yellow light disappeared, the blue light started to blink. please see attached picture.

Hello @Kits,

Thank you for your reply.

This is the correct one, yes.

In this case, the DFI sensor has gone defective and causing this problem so we need to replace it.

This video will show you how to replace the DFI sensor, please check it and let us know if you are able to replace it by yourself if we sent you a new sensor or if you prefer to send us the robot for repair under the warranty:

Awaiting your reply.

Hi @Ebram,

If I send to you, will you pay for the delivery fee?

Yes, the return fees after the repair is covered by the warranty.

How about the delivery fee when I send to you? Is it covered?
