I see that servo Hitec HS-7966HB can be dellivered by the supplier in this configuration : [font=Arial Baltic, sans-serif]continuous rotation (potentiometer is left outside the servo case). Can you confirm ? Can I mention it when ordering?
I am interested in this servo because I need a wide speed range + continuous rotation application :

. approximately 2 round per minute at low speed[/font] : precise and smooth (no jerk when starting at minimum speed = high torque needed?)

We have not done that so far, but if it’s mentioned by Hitec, we should be able to special order it. Note that when their servos are used in continuous rotation mode, you lose positioning.

I am also interested to use this servo or any other servo for a specific number of rotations, like 3, 5 or more rotations including positionning. Do you know how it can be modified for this ?*
The 785HB can rotate 3.5 turns because of the potentiometer used: robotshop.com/en/hitec-hs785 … motor.html
Only certain winch servos have this functionality. A normal servo cannot really be modified for turn more than 180 degrees (with position feedback) since it would require a different potentiometer (which has different mounting, as well as different mechanical and electrical characteristics)
