Hey everyone,
I’m planning on starting a project to identify some materials such as plastic using infrared spectroscopy.
I plan on shining an infrared LED (with a known wavelength) at the material and measuring the amount absorbed by it, i’m assuming different materials absorb different amounts of infrared radiation.
Can anyone help me with the components I’ll need for this?
Is there a specific component that measures the amount of infrared light?
Is there a component besides a normal infrared LED that you would suggest using for the emitting of infrared at the material?
