Anyone who can help please,
I have purchased the FA-PO-150-12-4 linear actuator together with the RB-FIR-121 Actuonix Control board as I was advised on this forum that they would be compatible.
I am using a computer with Windows 10 64 bit.
The problems are as follows:
-
The RB-Fir-121 Actuonix actuator board is not recognised through its USB interface- - I am using the Utility 1.5.
-
I am using a 1KHz 3.3 volt square wave on pin 5 of X6, and the actuator does not move at all, even though (using an oscilloscope) I can see that the input on pin 6 transitions from +3.3 volts to 0 volts, through the full duty-cycle square-wave range.
Initially, I thought that I had a defective actuator board, and so purchase a second one, but this is giving exactly the same results.
I have tried changing the input power connections to the actuator motor, and also the feed-back potentiometer connections, with no result.
I have checked that the linear actuator actually moves by connecting it to +12 volts, and reversing the polarity. The arm moves as expected.
Any suggestions will be VERY VERY welcome!
Thanks,
Allen
