Compatible to my Motor or not?

Hi,

Good Afternoon. Hope you are well. I’ve little knowledge in the field of motor controller. Please help me about the following Issue.

  1. I’ve bought the motor “1/2HP LEESON 1800RPM 56C TENV 24VDC MOTOR 108051.00” and quantity: 8 pieces. Now I’ll have to select motor controller to run this motor. My choice is your “Sabertooth Dual 2x32A 6V-24V Regenerative Motor Driver” and Product Code : “RB-Dim-47” . Is it suitable for the motor?

  2. Can I do my coding in C# to control the motor?

Please help me to select the right choice. Have a great day!!!

Regards,
Russell

From what we can see online, the actuator can consume 40A (verify this). Unfortunately it is not specified if this is stall or max continuous current draw. If it’s max continuous, then a 32A controller would not be sufficient under max load. If it’s stall, then the continuous current drain would only be around 10A. Either way, you should confirm. The Sabertooth is not “programmable” - you would need a separate microntroller or connect a USB to serial adapter to send commands from your computer.
