Commercially available prosthetic limbs

Hello.

I am wondering if there are any prosthetic hand prototypes in the E-market available to purchase for research purposes?

Thank you so much in advance for your help!

Hi @salman12!

The closest thing we have can be found in the Robot Manipulators section of the store. For example:

I did not know the RobotShop itself contains these items. Thank you for this clarification.

Another question concerning the YOUBIONIC Hand. How can we add position (curvature) control to this hand using commercially available components (encoders, flex sensors,…etc)? Is it convenient to implement sensing to this hand? Or the design should be altered?

Apparently, the hand itself is a custom (special) product. Can I make special edits with extra bills to such a custom-made item? does the shop support this?

Exactly like you said, by adding sensors. As this hand is controlled by an Arduino microcontroller simply look for compatible sensors.

I guess this depends on the application but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t. Although I think a great idea would be contacting the man behind the hand.

Here’s the contact info:

I don’t have this information but if you’d like I can create a ticket for customer service.
