Combine two ld1117?

i've got two dc motors each using 1.1 A when stalled, i want to control those with a L298 motordriver. I use a ld1117 to convert my 5v to 3.3v for the motors but this can only output 0.8A. I don't mind that that's not enough for my motor but the l298 has only one Vs for 2 motors. Is it possible to combine two ld1117 to have 1.6 A for 2 motors?

Yes and no. You can use two

Yes and no. You can use two voltage regulators in parallel to increase your current capability, but you might not get exactly double, since the regulators won’t be perfectly identical.

It would be better to use a single bigger regulator, but parallel regulators do work.
